Our Company

For over 30 years, our business has been built on quality workmanship and excellent service.

As one of Queensland’s most successful retaining wall contractors, we are proud to have built a reputation in the industry for providing only the highest standard in civil construction earthworks, contracting and site works. Experienced operators, quality rock and reliable equipment help make us the first choice for many engineers and developers.

Our Promise

At Boulder Wall Constructions, our name is our business and we love what we do.

We are committed to ensuring our walls are built to only the highest standard, on time and within budget. We control every aspect of our service from resource quarrying to transport, maintenance and construction, ensuring quality is maintained across the board. As a specialist rock retaining wall contractor, we are able to design and construct walls up to 10 metres high.

Construction 800x280

Our Company has produced some of Queensland’s premier rock wall developments, including commercial properties, shopping centres, schools, subdivisions and main roads. Our extensive knowledge and expertise from decades in the industry ensures that every wall we create is designed and engineered to the highest standard.

Earthworks 800x280

BWC operates a fleet of heavy machinery ranging in size from 8 tonnes to 60 tonnes, enabling us to complete any size project for our clients. Our fleet includes excavators, rollers, dozers, loaders, reclaimers, water trucks and graders that are serviced and maintained in house by our qualified workshop staff.

Our mobile service vehicles make a variety of repairs and provide full service options to the machines on site, eliminating the usual down time caused by breakdowns and servicing.

Rock Supply 800x280

Boulder Wall Constructions began sourcing its own rock when finding a consistent, quality rock supply externally proved extremely difficult. As such, we have been operating our own extractive quarries all over Queensland for more than 20 years. We are proud to have operated quarries in Warwick, Yangan, Maroon, Rockhampton, Helidon, Gladstone, Trade Coast and Swanbank.

Disaster Recovery 800x280

Boulder Wall Constructions has extensive experience with disaster recovery and clean ups. Following both the 2011 and 2013 Queensland Floods, Boulder Wall Constructions worked in the most flood ravaged areas helping to clear debris and assist with the clean up. We were further able to assist with the clean up following Cyclone Marcia in Rockhampton in 2015.

Why Choose Us?

A Name You Can Trust

Boulder Wall Constructions has been operating in the industry for over 30 years, developing a reputation for quality workmanship and excellent service. We have worked with many of the biggest names in the industry, and over the years have developed strong working relationships with many long term clients – some of whom we have worked with for more than two decades.

Total Retaining Solutions

Boulder Wall Constructions can offer total retaining solutions for your project, with 5 to 25kPa loadings from domestic application to heavy industrial requirements. In addition, in most cases rock walls can be up to 50% cheaper than other manufactured retaining systems, as well as up to 50% quicker in construction time required.

Unparalleled Experience

At Boulder Wall Constructions, we are proud of our team of dedicated and qualified people, committed to our Company and the work that we do. The skills and experience of our team are the driving force behind our Company, with our entire Management team and many of our employees having been with the Company in excess of ten years. Together our industry experience is unrivalled by any of our competitors.

Consistency and Reliability

We take pride in our unique ability to guarantee the quality of our products and services, by managing all aspects of our business internally from rock supply through to delivery and construction. By running our own quarry operations for some types of rock, we are able to guarantee consistent, quality rock supply. Rock is delivered to site by our own fleet of trucks, then used to construct the walls by our own operators, with quality equipment that is serviced and maintained by our own mechanics. We also have a full time administration and management team to address your requirements and ensure you receive the best service possible.

Quality Control

Every wall we build over one metre high is designed and certified by a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) who works closely with the Company throughout the entire construction process. To maintain our high operating standards, all staff and contract Engineers are familiar with the Company’s procedures, expectations and quality control measures. This allows us to identify and address any potential problems during construction, preventing many unexpected issues upon completion and resulting in prompt certification.

Safety First

At Boulder Wall Constructions, a commitment to health and safety is part of everyday business. We recognise that this is an integral part of our industry and believe that no business priority comes before safety. Through strict compliance with statutory requirements, codes, standards and guidelines and the promotion of a positive safety culture within our Company, we maintain a high safety standard across the board.  We believe in maintaining a system of supportive, consultative and accountable leadership to provide every employee with a safe and healthy workplace environment and ensuring that work is carried out in the safest possible manner.
