Owned and Operated

Boulder Wall Constructions currently owns and operates a fleet of six truck and trailer combinations and 1 body truck. A small two tonne tipper is also available most days from our depot to deliver smaller rock into hard to reach job sites. Each truck and trailer combination is able to move 25 to 28 tonnes of material per load, depending on the size and type of rock.

We run Kenworth, Mack and Western Star tipper trucks powered by 400 to 500 horse powered Caterpillar or Detroit motors.

Permanent Sub-Contractors

Boulder Wall Constructions also permanently sub-contracts six truck and trailer combinations, with an additional four casual sub-contractors available to further meet individual project requirements. Each combination is able to move 25 to 28 tonnes of material per load.

In order to maintain our high operating standards and ensure compliance on all our clients’ sites, all sub-contractors are required to meet the same compliance standards as our own fleet and operate under our safety management system.

In-house Maintenance

Using an efficient maintenance schedule and a fully equipped workshop, our Workshop Manager and his mechanical staff are able to keep the fleet running with very minimal down time. The entire fleet is serviced and maintained on a regular basis, either in the workshop or on site by our qualified maintenance staff.

Our equipment and the expertise of our staff allow us to carry out a wide range of service and engineering applications such as welding, machine, lathe and cutting, oxy acetylene and tyre fitting.

Bisalloy steel is used in our truck bodies and excavator buckets, providing thicker than normal and exceptionally strong equipment. It is well suited to working with a tough product like granite or any other rock. The trucks drive lines are compatible across the fleet and all run heavy duty gearboxes and diffs. Our mobile service vehicles make a variety of repairs and provide full service options to the machines on site, eliminating the usual down time caused by breakdowns and servicing.
